Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

9:00am - 4:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Learn. Grow. Belong.

Give your child a strong start with the Great Start Readiness Program—Michigan’s free, state-funded Pre-K program for eligible four-year-olds.

At our Freeland location, children learn through hands-on activities, purposeful play and caring relationships. Our qualified teachers create safe, supportive classrooms where children are encouraged to explore, solve problems, build friendships and develop the skills they need for kindergarten and beyond.

Two Classrooms, One Caring Community

Our Freeland location will offer two GSRP classrooms, giving more families in Freeland and the surrounding communities access to high-quality, tuition-free Pre-K.

Both classrooms will follow the same high-quality GSRP standards while allowing teachers to build close relationships with the children and families in their classroom community.

Classroom placement will be based on enrollment, staffing, classroom needs and the goal of creating balanced, supportive learning environments.

A Welcoming Place for Every Child

Every child enters the classroom with unique strengths, interests, experiences and ways of learning.

Our teachers observe and support each child’s development while creating opportunities for children to make choices, try new things, solve problems and build confidence.

We are committed to creating inclusive classrooms where children and families feel safe, respected, supported and valued.

Give Your Child a Great Start

Help your child begin kindergarten feeling confident, curious and ready to learn.
